When it comes to one punch power, Cintron has it.. He can change a fight with one punch... Feliciano was roughing him up and actually having a good fight, but in the end it was Cintron's power that ended.... David Estrada, while he's no Shane Mosley, went the distnace with Shane Mosley... He didn't make it to the end with Cintron... And that was a good fight by the way... Cotto has destructive, beat the fight out of you power.. and it doesn't help that he loves body punching... But Cintron has concussive, put you to sleep power... It can come at any moment..

Cintron hasn't fought as many world class guys as Cotto, but Cintron has knocked out DURABLE fighters... Guys who are suppose to give you rounds, and in many cases you go the distance with these type of guys... Cintron has knocked out DURABLE guys... Also, Cintron has been able to bail himself out late in fights with that 1 punch power.. Cintron is NOT a BODY PUNCHER or an accumulative punching type of guy...27 of 29 wins by knockout, and a world title without much if any body punching and good opponents..

well Paul williams struggled with Mathayese and landed flush, yet took a while to beat him, while it only took Cintron one flush punch to kO Mathayese in the best KO of 2007

Cintron has one punch knockout power and Cotto kinda wears you down with his punches.

Cintron probably. Cotto wears you down with relentless, educated pressure.

Cintron is a bigger one shot puncher. Cotto has a better arsenal, does more long term damage, and is just a light years better fighter.

Cintron hasn't knocked anybody worth a **** out, but some of his KO's are pretty devastating and of the one punch variety, so its worth consideration.

There probably isn't as much in it as one would think though, Cotto has actually knocked good guys out.

Larry Merchant described it quite well that cotto is not a home run hitter but doubles and triples add up to a lot of runs. Cintron would be a homerun hitter.

Well in fairness to Kerm, he was the first one to stop David Estrada, something Shane couldnt do. He also obliterated Matthyse in 2, after that guy had gone 10 with Williams.

Kerm isnt a very good fighter, but he IS a very good puncher. His right cross is the single most devestating punch at 147 since Tito's left hook.

    Please, I mean c'mon.

Cintron is about 6" taller than Cotto, has longer arms and is naturally larger. He is going to, and does, have far more power than Cotto does.

Of course, the thread is really about: If Cintron can't hurt Margo then how can Cotto?

    Excellent question.

What's most hilarious about the people saying Cotto will KO Margo is that it's like they don't even stop to think that Mosley -- a guy who would not fight Margo -- was walking down their 'relentless' hero for the last four rounds of that fight. Cotto landed clean on Sugar I don't know how many times and never came close to even hurting him let alone putting him away.

Unless Cotto pulls a rabbit out of his hat next week, he is going to get run over. This is a very simple fight to predict.

Cotto will dance and prance for awhile until either Margo is able to measure his distance properly or Cotto loses just a little bit of steam. When one of those things happens, and it/they will happen, Cotto is going to get leveled. If you thought Corley and Torres put it on Cotto, you haven't seen anything yet.

Cintron is 4 inches taller than Cotto. Cintron is 5'11, Cotto is 5'7. Anyway, Cotto CAN and will stop Margarito for the simple fact that he'll be hitting him MUCH more often than Cintron did, and to the BODY as well as the head. Cotto's accuracy, and ability to put together combos is faar superior to Cintron. Not to mention, Cotto is better defensively than Kerm, and WAAAAAAAAY mentally tougher.
