I don't think there is much difference between their power at 160 to be honest. Maybe an edge for Pavlik, but they are certainly comparable. Whatever his shortcomings, Joppy was tough. He took tremendous punishment from Hopkins, the swelling on his face after the beating was grotesque and he still went 12. He got hit at every corner by Taylor but still went 12. Even recently, while he's shot to ****, he was outclassed and still went to the 10th round against Bute at 168, the only other time he was ever stopped. He couldn't go 5 with Trinidad. Cherifi also was a legit Middleweight and a solid enough fighter, and Trinidad blew past him in 4. Pavlik isn't much more powerful at 160, if at all really, and P4P it's not much of a contest.
