But they are physically bigger and more natural at that weight class. Fighting at your ideal weight is definitley a benefit and for someone like PAC going UP in weight is definitley a DISADVANTAGE!

If Mayorga is a chump I gotta ask......who the **** are you? I must be talking to a 65 yr old Roberto Duran to be talking that "BIG". My bad tough guy..... Mayorga is definitley a "Chump".....He wears skirts and paints his toes. I remember everyone saying how shot Erik Morales was in 2005 or 2006 and now all the sudden he's taking on and educating these young lions in late 2011. I bet you in half that time Cotto will still be a top fighter in this sport. 3 years from now...if the world doesn't end....I gurantee Cotto will still be a player at 147 or 154.

I definitely dont agree with that but I do think Cotto was short of the elite class.

Well, if Cotto never was "elite," I guess that puts Ortiz at journeyman status?

:bloodWhy take away something that Cotto has accomplished. What purpose would that serve or how would that be justified when talking about his legacy? That's like saying "let's take away Floyd's DLH and Shane wins..... and then evaluate his legacy"..

"When has Cotto beaten anyone at the level of a Kostya Tszyu and don't say the shot Mosley, shittttttttttttt he lost that fight IMO too.

Prime Hatton would wipe the floor with Cotto, and so would May, anybody who says otherwise dont know **** about boxing..........

Cotto was never elite, there is a reason why he won't even breathe Floyds name these days"

you know NOTHING about boxing if you think mosley beat cotto and if you think hatton would wipe the floor with cotto...get you head out of your ass

I'd say Ortiz is a top contender. He's still young but status means nothing. Cotto I dont think ever was going to be a good fight against Floyd. I really do think Floyd absolutely trashes him. Cottos leaky defense would be a hayday for Mayweather.

That said. The best we've see of Ortiz vs the best we've seen of Cotto. Definitely Cotto would be the bigger threat.

Ortiz now vs the Cotto now. It's Ortiz.

Because just cause you beat one elite doesn't make you elite. And Im not taking away anything from Cotto. Im just not giving him something he doesn't deserve.

    Cotto isnt even an ATG.

Garbage reasoning. Put those two next to eachother and just about everyone will tell you that Ortiz is bigger.

You're right, Zab can't beat Baldo, no way in hell would Shane beat him. I

Stop making excuses. Augustus was not all that talented, he was just simply awkward. He had a tricky style. That fact that you think he could've been great says a lot.

    Good for Cotto.

Stop putting words into my mouth. All you're doing is aguing against yourself as I never said any of those things. Cotto is a talented fighter, who can do a lot of good things in the ring. His flaws though would be easily exposed by a guy like Mayweather. If any flaw I stated about Cotto is inaccurate, let me know.

He clearly is. He's heavily dependant on that left hand. He's naturally left handed and he got into a car accident a while back and his right arm got all ****ed up. If you can neutralize that left hand, you can negate Cotto's offense.

Obviously, Cotto is so dangerous, Floyd won't even mention his name.
    Floyd knows who to avoid.
