Was it Darchinyan, who an undefeated champion and heavily favored over Donaire? Or was it Montiel because won so quickly in devastating fashion. I think the Mthalane fight is overlooked. Donaire beat an undefeated challenger who is a current beltholder.

It's def. Darchinyan. . . That was at the peak of his career, and "prime-ness." He was arguably around the 5th best pound for pounder in the world. . Was viewed as so dangerous, and awkward. . . Then Donaire has him drooling over himself from a WICKED, picture perfect counter-KO. . . Beautiful.

good wins but lets be realistic, he's too big for darchi, montiel, mthalane and marquez.. he only gets credit for me if he beats rigo and mares. he becomes an ATG if he beats guys like salido, broner, gonzalez.

Darchinian and Montiel both ran into his left hook. Darchinian in particular.

Donaire's career best win remains Fernando Montiel , this was a guy leaving a path of destruction behind him and i for one had him picked to ice Donaire as well

Donaire flattened him in the 2nd round

Devastating !!!! , it was this fight that announced him truly , and i do not believe he has eclipsed this :deal

Nope Darchinyan, an undefeated champion heavily favored over Donaire, wasn't a proper win. And Montiel, widely considered THE Banatamweight champion wasn't a proper win:roll:
