    about the same.

Mayweather beats Cotto, damaged goods from the Pacquiao and Margarito fights.

Mayweather beats Khan, he's beating a bloated lightweight.

Very true. If cotto wins against margarito I wouldn't mind seeing this fight.

    This.

Although it would all depend on what both go on to do and when they fight etc.

But at this very moment, if he was going to fight Khan on Sept 17 or Cotto.

The Cotto victory would be better.

Khan is currently a star and like ortiz, will likely go onto bigger and better things.

if floyd beats cotto and he retires the vitcory looks much less impressive.

in an ideal world he'd fit cotto in, but for now, aside from pac, the focus shouls be ortiz, khan, alvarez.

Honestly, if not for Pac. There's not much for him without going to 160. Khan and Alvarez aren't ready.

there's so many fights i'd love to see floyd vs.
    Ortiz (looking forward to this)
Cotto and Margo (both be great fights)
    Amir Khan
    Alvarez

I'd like to see all these if possible,

I voted Khan but I could see why someone would make a case for cotto. I have high hopes for khan therefore I see a win against him now as holding some significance, as for cotto I really don't think he would have changed much fighting floyd in 08 or 11, his game plan would have always been the same, and floyd would have picked him apart.

So, let me get this right, you feel a prime Cotto didn't deserve a shot at Floyd back in 2008, but you think the past-prime Cotto of today, now does?

Historically, as things stand, Cotto would be the better win. 3 weight world champ, something like 16-2 in title fights across 140, 147, 154 and fought everyone. He is a current 154 champ, even if he looks flabby, he still boxed impressively against Mayorga in his last fight, and showed the discipline he hadn't shown before, coasting that fight out to a UD. Cotto may even still be in the P4P lists. Khan isn't, not just yet. Khan keeps getting better, and has tonnes of potential to win titles maybe up to 154, but he's really only proven at 140. For Mayweather to beat him at 147, we'd have to wait to see what Khan does after that at welter and above to gauge the true level of the win.

Which may be difficult to gauge as when khan finally enters WW, who will be left for khan to fight, ortiz, mike jones, Brook, who else?

beating martinez at 160 isn't something I think Floyd is capable of.

beating some future stars at WW is.

He'll never get the credit he deserves.
