Explain to me cotto's decline, he lost to pac the best fighter on the planet according to experts.

He stopped Yuri foreman and he stopped mayorga. Where is the evidence to suggest cotto has declined much more than mayweather?

Mayweather was caught harder than he ever had been by mosley twice in one round, I never expected him to be caught twice in one round, I can't recall that ever happening before. What has cotto shown to suggest that he no longer is the same fighter?

Come on guy, are you seriously trying to dig into the obvious, not only do you believe a prime cotto would lose, but you dont even think it would have been a competitive fight. Simply put, im not wasting my time if your going to be that bias.:hi:

Amir is in his prime or about to enter it.

    Cottoe is pass prime.

All Miguel has to offer now is a faded name.

Only Mayweather-Cottoe bout I'm interested in is if Floyd used it as his final fight before retiring. Miguel's fans dug their own grave and it's been open for too long.

Where did I state it wouldn't be competitive?

Yet again another poster making stuff up to support their claims. It really is pathetic.

Oh and nice smiley face, they usually turn up when you have nothing to add.

Amir can go onto do good things after Floyd beats him.

What can Miguel do after Floyd beats him? He would have wear and tear from 3 bad beatings on his resume: marg, emmanuel, and then Floyd.

Cotto. He's still a better fighter than Khan right now.

Miguel could possibly beat margo in impressive fashion, he could beat berto, he could beat ortiz or khan, he could beat alvarez, plenty of opportunities for him still.

You’re being serious? You really need me to explain the difference in decline between the two fighters?

Go back and watch the Clottey fight, and take a look at how Cotto reacts to being hit in the latter rounds. Take a look at how easily Clottey was pushing him back, and forcing him to hop on his bike. As if that Margarito beating wasn’t bad enough, he then went on to face Pacquiao immediately after Clottey. Now I admit, he was re-energized for this. Any frailties he shown in the Clottey fight, were not apparent in the first few rounds against Manny. He did very well. Up until the 4th round (?) that is. Those knockdowns took took his heart, and he went back into survival mode, reminiscent of the Margarito fight. Whatever prime Cotto had, was beaten out of him by Manny.

Cotto has not been in a live fight since. Yuri Foreman? Pfft, yeah right. Ricardo Mayorga? Lol, come on, stop it already.

Mayweather, on the other hand, has not endured anything that can be compared to that. After a nice break, he came back and slapped JMM around with ultimate ease. He then followed it up with another spectacular display against Mosley (bar the two wobbles). In those fights, he showed no signs of decline. His speed, reflexes, stamina, sharpness, everything was intact. The only thing which you could say has changed, his is movement around the ring. But even then, I think that claim is exaggerated. He didn’t move against Mosley because he didn’t need to.

And if he wins in impressive fashion does that mean margo is even more shot than cotto or cotto isn't as shot as we are led to believe?

Did you not see the cut above cotto's eye, I guess that had little to do with anyting. Clottey gives everyone a tough fight including the likes of margarito and was even able to get off good powerful shots on Pac.

You mention how clottey got cotto to hop on his bike. A prime cotto did the same thing against Sugar Shane Mosley or did you miss those last rounds?

You pfft at yuri foreman and you pfft at mayargo but didn't mosley take 12 rounds to take out mayorga also? Yet mosley was able to take out margarito in less than that yet pac was unable to. You can see it both ways.

Floyd doesn't move anywhere near as much as he has done in the past, he is forced now to fight pretty much flat footed, whether this is due to the increase in his muscle mass or age i am not sure, but his legs have no spring in them unlike pac.

And his reflexes were not intact because he would have never been caught with two bombs in one single round. If floyd had a weaker chin he possibly could have been knocked out in round 2 and the story would have changed dramatically.

Cotto would be a better win should he beat Marg for obvious reasons. He's in a higher weight class and he's holding a title. Should Floyd do this, it would be the second time he went up to 154lbs and took a guys title with no catch weight.

Khan is on the upstream, 2012 is a big year for Khan as he will move upto 147 a more natural weight for him now.

If Floyd faces Khan near end of 2012, I think Khan will give Floyd his hardest fight in years.

Cotto for me has not been the same since his loss to Marg.
