Lucian Bot vs. Adil Atmari, 3 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Round 1

Bot pounds away with two-fisted hooking attacks and a hard 1-2, driving Atmari back. Atmari will not relent, throwing big looping lefts and rights but missing as Bot ducks and covers, checking some shots on his left forearm while backing up and lining up his counters. Flush jabs by Bot stepping around as Atmari comes at him in straight lines. Hook by Bot lands to the jaw and Atmari hits the deck, ruled a slip as he was already off balance and Bot charged into him with the blow.

Round 2

Bot throws a hook and a cross to back Atmari up and gets bold, walking into an Atmari right hand lead. Bot is dragged by the wrist into a neutral corner by the referee, who wipes him with a cloth and calls a doctor to inspect a cut on the bridge of the Romanian's nose. Time in. They trade jabs in the middle of the ring, both tilting their heads back out of the way but getting clipped anyway. Atmari is able to touch Bot enough to get the blood flowing steadily from that cut, in rivulets down the length of his nose on either side and cascading off his nostrils. Bot blocks and counters with his jab as Atmari circles in and targets the nose with jabs and short rights. Flush jab/hook hybrid by Atmari while sidestepping a Bot jab. Overhand right by Atmari. Repeated interruptions by the ref to check the cut, maybe three checkups in the last minute.
