Touati is making his debut as a boxer, but is a veteran of several combat sports including Muay Thai.
Evora is a 3-time Portuguese national amateur champion and has also done some kickboxing...but he's also 40 years old, Touati's senior by three. :!: ...with a 3-9-2 record, stopped five times. :!:
Round 1 Touati is jabbing from outside, dropping shots in while on tiptoes. Evora sways from side to side with his shoulders slack and arms low, looking to load up on a right hand line drive or big sweeping left hook while charging in. Touati catches and holds. Lots of arm entwining. Touati is negative on the inside, jabbing and bouncing in a circle when there's separation. Wild swings from Evora. Touati just watches him from outside, throwing nothing. Touati steps forward and Evora goes for a body shot, missing and getting caught in a headlock. Finally some action at the bell as they hook together, both landing neck-snappers. 10-9 Touati
Yeah, I think the Bigger's Better tournament winner will walk away with a whole lot more prestige today than the winner of the "Prestige Fight". :yep
