Ah, so it actually is former French heavyweight champ Fabrice Aurieng after all.

I wasn't sure if the BB website had made a typo listing "Patrice Aurieng" or if "Patrice" was perhaps a brother or cousin of Fabrice.

So there is another pro boxer aside from Blaschke in this.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=542306&cat=boxer

He was actually victorious at BB XIV in Morocco last year, but lost the BB King of 2012 against Mauris Briedis.

I'm back... frickin' social life was acting up again. Having a social life is massively overrated

    Round 1

Aurieng is jabbing down at the much shorter Paunov from a distance. Aurieng is confusing Paunov with the southpaw look and his slippery liquid movements when Paunov steps forward and puts up a jab. Aurieng is rolling his shoulders and leaning to either side, keeping the right jab fixed on Paunov's forehead. Slow pace.

    10-9 Aurieng

    Round 2

Aurieng is bouncing the right jab off Paunov's face, threading it between his thumbs, lulling him and then drilling in the left hand. A few lefts by Aurieng come around the forearm, looped. Paunov can't get anything off, slashing upward but missing when Aurieng leans over and turns his shoulder in. Big lefts by Aurieng, sending Paunov reeling and nearly spun around.

    10-9 Aurieng

    20-18 Aurieng

    Round 3

Aurieng is using body feints, leaning over slightly and twitching a bit to get a rise from Paunov. Right jabs and swat-hooks from Aurieng from a a pace off. Paunov keeps spreading his guard too wide, allowing the jabs in. Paunov tries sloping up a jab and then cutting across the gap with a right but keeps missing the long but slippery target. Paunov rushes in with a left hook and is countered by a power combo. Right hook followed by a left uppercut to the face by Aurieng, dropping Paunov. He gets up and keeps getting peppered with light southpaw jabs between his loose guard. No attempt to finish by Aurieng.

    10-8 Aurieng

    30-26 Aurieng

Based on their respective showings, I have to pick Aurieng over Vujanovic in the semis.

Nice! They should do a World Championship Snooker event before the next HBO show:D:D

Do Fight Fax count Biggers Better as pro fight? BoxRec dont.

And Aurieng should be favorite to win this tournement, right?

99% of the American TV audience would be mighty confused by that. (as none of them have probably ever heard the word "snooker")

I'm not sure, although I don't place much stock in FF and don't get why there is a need for them when there's already BR. (not that BR is perfect)

I don't know...Baltatzis did look decent in BB 23 before the final. Had it been the usual type of heavy you get in the finals of these and not Dinu he probably would have won it.

    Round 1

Baltatzis is trotting to his right and exchanging blows with Patriche. The right jab of the large Romanian southpaw is scraping down the bridge of Baltatzis' nose but the Greek is merrily grinning at him and laughing it off, throwing flurries into his face. Patriche is wobbled by a right hand. They pause for some reason, gum shield maybe. Time in. Left hand by Patriche and now Baltatzis is wobbled! Baltatzis stumbles into the ropes, turning his back on Patriche. The ref gives him an eight count. Baltatzis grins, but with less confidence now. They brawl in the final half minute. Baltatzis' legs don't look very steady. Right hooks and straight lefts by Patriche, sloppy and slow but landing as Baltatzis marches in and flurries back.

    10-8 Patriche
