Round 2

They're stepping on each other's feet and both landing weak jabs despite both attempting head movement. They both look completely exhausted and not yet recovered from the first round. Jabs are staggering them and their balance is very poor. Baltatzis is spun around by a curled roundhouse left hand from Patriche. Baltatzis covers up and walks through a chopping left hand. Straight punches from Baltatzis, clipping the neck or falling short as Patriche times him with his own straight flurries. They clinch. Baltatzis is given another eight count for some reason, though he wasn't down and didn't take a knee. He is spitting his gum shield halfway out, clenching it between his teeth and failing to look the ref in the eye, turning from him. The ref abandons the count and waves his arms.

Quarterfinal #4 - Bjoern Blaschke vs. Mario Jagatic, 3 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Blaschke has lots of tattoos. His entire biceps on both sides are covered with richly colorerd ink, every square inch. He also has what appear to be kanji letters down the length of his spine.

 

Huge size advantage for Jagatic.

He is 109kg, or 240lbs.

Blaschke is 90kg, or 198lbs.

 

Round 1

Blaschke circles and tries to box behind his jab as Jagatic throws wild right hands down at him. Big combination lurching in by Jagatic, rattling against the guard of Blaschke and knocking him back into the ropes with minimal legal scoring contact but a few getting through from sheer force and volume and rocking Blaschke's head. Jagatic is attacking in spurts, basically forcing Blaschke on the backfoot and buzzing him whenever he does.

A completely raw and unskilled super-heavy bullying a so-so cruiser, that is what this is.

 

Round 2

Blaschke is shelling up and waiting for spots. Huge looping right haymakers by Jagatic, knocking Blaschke into the ropes. They switch places and now Jagatic has his back to a corner, showing a left hook and pulling it, hoping to fake Blaschke out and make him lunge into countering range. Blaschke instead remains cautious, jabbing from safety. Blaschke ducks in and drops a right hand overhead, scoring. Blaschke is doing well popping in and out with quick shots now, landing his jabs. Big right hand by Jagatic, blocked but knocking Blaschke back. Jabs between the gloves by Blaschke, moving aside and ducking when Jagatic tries to counter with big slow telegraphed looping bombs. Far-reaching jab by Jagatic, sidestepped. Blaschke is using his superior footwork to get off straight punches in short clusters and get out of harm's way.

Round 3

Blaschke is jabbing, stretching himself forward with his chin unprotected and then jerking straight back quickly as Jagatic explodes with hooking rights from behind the back. Blaschke is barely skimming away from trouble with his tactics, cutting it very close. Jabs popped in by Blaschke, up on his toes and bouncing around Jagatic. Wild uppercuts and overhands by Jagatic, missing and dragging him off balance. Right to the body by Blaschke. Jagatic is mouth breathing. WILD right hand lead by Jagatic, followed by a fully swiveling left hook that completely flips him 180°. Blaschke is using quick hops in and out to score and either move outside or tie up briefly. Huge caveman swings by Jagatic, plowing the air. Double jab by Jagatic running forward, missing as Blaschke backpedals and pulls his head back, but the Jagatic right hand crashes home as Blaschke runs out of room and his back hits the turnbuckle. Blaschke rides out the round moving and jabbing.

People who score favoring aggression whether effective or not would probably have Jagatic winning the last round and the bout along with it.
