This is solely based on a contender beating up the champion. Not a one punch knock out, but a total embarrassment .

The biggest embarrassment for me is probably Wlad as he looked liked he simply couldnt fight and Sanders really wasn't in the same league as Tyson , Foreman or Liston .

So, "Heavyweight titlist", not "Heavyweight Champion"...or do you mean "someone who at some point in their career was a HW champion, at any point" and not necessarily "reigning HW champion"?

Because the WBO belt alone does not a HW Champion make...

    Foreman/Frazier

It looked like Frazier didn't even belong in the ring when he was fighting Foreman.

It more Champion or beltholder that either had a bad night or was totally outclassed by a contender who had never held the belt.

Douglas vs Tyson should be there, dipshits like Atlas think that Tyson laid down once Douglas stood up to him.

Your thought is actually quite correct: Frazier was 10 pounds heavier compared to his win over Muhammad Ali. He stopped training seriously and started eating junk food, so he really didn't belong in the ring. He should have retired after Ali.

Foreman-Frazier, biggest asswhooping for a guy who just won the FotC.

EDIT: Re-watching it just now, I just noticed it was announced that they were wearing 8oz gloves?

Of course, why would it not be?

Throwing an opponent to the ground is explicitly against the rules...but bodying up and using your strength, shoving someone into desired range? That's absolutely legitimate and just a good gameplan if it can be executed. Excessive clinching is illegal and short of referee intervention the only way for a fighter to nullify an opponent's excessive clinching is by shoving them away. 100% legal.

Well, not just. There were a couple of years of getting fat in there.

I'd say Frazier/Foreman, the universally recognised world champion, a couple of fights removed from his biggest win, getting slapped about and flopping around the ring like a wish out of water, must have been incredibly humbling for him.

wladimir was more shocked and then he froze after getting put to sleep by sanders(he was asleep and woke up).can you imagine waking up in the ring wondering what just happen?thats why i never understood all the crap he got for the sanders fight.he had never been knocked down in his entire career including sparring.he was in total shock, yet still had the courage to fight on when he was obviously still out on his feet.after that fight he just lost confidence.
