i only ask because i remember Forrest getting warned for pushing Mayorga away in there 2nd fight and Vic Darchinyan getting warned for pushing Mares away with one hand around the shoulder area. Plus i dont think Frazier was really clinching.

i honestly feel it should be legal but it seems to be something that sometimes you get away with it and sometimes you dont (i hate rules like that).

    Yeah, every official is different.

There's nothing in the published unified rules on pushing to my knowledge (other than pushing down). Pushing away is just a normal tactic.

    Wrong.
Purrity knocked him down before that.

Frazier/Foreman was a sad sight. That guy just had his number. Horrible to see.

I agree that Purrity didn't really knock Wlad down, but Steve Pannell did, though Wlad got right back up before the referee could even think of starting a count and plastered Pannell.

yes, he was tired, but at the end of the 10th purrity hit him with some clean shots and he went down.

that is ruled a knockdown, doesnt matter if it was the exhaustion or the impact of the punches, so you cant say that sanders was the first one to knock him down, purrity was.

if you say sanders was the first one to hurt wlad with his punches i cant argue with that.

Willard may have gotten the worst beating ever. A broken jaw and fratured ribs are injuries more likely to occur in a bad car crash than a boxing match with gloves.
Frazier got smacked around by Foreman pretty badly but nothing compared to the brutality that Willard endured.

Not true Wlad was down in a fight prior, and I don't mean Purrity. Grant it it was a flash knock down and right after it Wlad Ko the guy. I'l try to find it on youtube.

Plus some other random bum knocked down Wlad before that. Sometime in the late 90s.

True, it was that Pannell-guy somewhere in 98 i think.
So he was the first to knock wlad down.

Nobody has mentioned Holyfield - Douglas?
Thats the one that comes to my mind. Just an embarrasing showing. Mainly on Douglas' part...fat, out of shape...

At least Frazier was in decent shape...and everyone knows Big George was such a beast. And Holyfield is more of a grinder.
