Fighters who where promoted as future superstars but where ****. Just like Kwame Brown in Basketball and Jamarcus Russell in NFL. My pick would go for Audley Harrison.
For what it's worth, Dominic Guinn AINT done. He's just 35 and has big wins over Harrison, Dokiwari, Grant, and Jackson. His losses have been largely due to his lack of enthusiasm and killer instinct. He had Liakovick hurt, Friday hurt, was schooling Toney when he was working, same for Thompson and Chambers, and hurt Monsour. Pulev and Hawkins had his number, or for whichever reason DG just didn't show up to win. Anyways, he's taking the rest of the fall off, and will return in January or Feb next year with a new dedication.....expect a similar run to that of Michael Grant. And if Tyson Fury is reading this......be afraid.....be very afraid.
Baby Joe Mesi.........Good Power, solid beard, decent D, great footwork and handspeed, but got a minute brainbleed and was blackballed. The guys is still undefeated and had about 6 highC and Bclass wins.......what a waste, struck down by the sanctioning bodies, PREPRIME.:-(
Sam Peter was a titlist, and wasn't hyped until after his annihilation of Jeremy Williams. And for what it's worht, his career aint over. Grant......still has a title shot in him....he'll lose, but he's no bust either.....just a career Bclass fighter like Boystov, Potvetkin, and Rahman etc etc etc.
David Haye as a Heavyweight. **** even i jumped on the "Saviour of the HW Division" Bandwagon! Joe Mesi, Rocky Juarez, Edison Miranda, Michael Grant, Tyrel Biggs, Henry Tilmann, Odlanier Solis just to name a few.
:yep... He had a decent career but he possessed physical gifts that come along once a generation so expectations were naturally higher. Some still say he had a good career but noone can argue that he shouldn't have done way more.
Good shout. He held a belt but I always thought he could do more. His fight with Antonio Diaz is still a favorite of mine.
