Ngl, this year has been pretty crazy for boxing. We've had so much going on, Verhoeven almost outpoints the so called "Heavyweight GOAT" Usyk, Anthony Joshua suffers the car accident, Kingsley Ibeh knocks Jarrell Miller's toupee off, Fundora beats the returning veteran Keith Thurman, Zuffa Boxing begins its expansion, with a doubleheader coming in Sep. 12 (Garcia vs Benn, Opetaia vs Mikaeljan), Deontay Wilder returns against fellow veteran and contender Derek Chisora, and this week, 21 year old Moses Itauma looks to become Britain and Slovakia's youngest heavyweight world champion and the 2nd youngest in the world behind Iron Mike against tough Croat Filip Hrgovic, and these are just some of the memorable events that have happened or are to come. But in your opinion, what boxing match of 2026 is the most significant and the biggest?

I would say the usyk fight. Because that affected people that don't even watch boxing. They hear a kickboxer was winning a fight against the best boxer in the world and the perceived technical superiority of a master of his craft in boxing is greatly reduced. They don't know or understand the factors involved. They just know a guy who was never really a boxer for 95% of his career, can come in and nearly dethrone the best boxing has to offer.

Zayas vs Boots felt big, and the fight delivered. Right now the hype is real for Itauma-Hrgovic and that one could be a banger.

Worst year by a mile. 2-3 years ago you'd laugh at that list. In fact you'd laugh at it now.

Fury-Makhmudov was undoubtedly the biggest, being broadcast for free on Netflix. Everyone else was/is a PPV on DAZN, and we know DAZN is not pulling SHO or HBO numbers for their PPV“s.

Wardley-Dubois was huge tho, I bet its a solid second place here.

It's hard to pick. The best fights this year would have been undercard fights 10 years ago.
