Its the old story of a chick with limelight and stars in her eyes jumping at the chance to hook up with a celeb only to find out she was nothing but another notch on iron mikes belt. Tyson the stupid ******* was a easy target. I happen to know a victim of **** and believe me she wouldnt of accepted any payout no matter what the figure was to see her attacker be jailed for a few lousy years. Anyone know what ever happened to Desiree washington after the whole case etc?? Did she vanish into oblivion with millions of dollars down her nickers or what??
:good I loved watching Tson fight, a lot of excitment but this is a standout fact,Mike was a front runner with a load of talent but when in there with a guy that thought he could win and skill to match, Tyson folded, this was his major flaw
Ricky Hatton will fight anyone (anyone who isn't called Junior Witter or anyone who can guarantee him a massive payday).
""What type of a woman was [Desiree Washington]? What type of a woman would go to a man’s room at 2:00 in the morning? She knew that they were not going to look at television. She knew what a hotel room looked like. And, now, she has the arrogance to cry ****. How many times, sisters, have you said 'No' and you meant 'Yes'? Louis Farrakhan publicly vilified the victim, Desiree Washington in 1991. Im not sure if he is ducking Witter.I think you may be onto something when suggesting big money is his not so hidden agenda. I just cant believe some1 that has fought Mayweather,Tszyu would really be ducking Witter for any reason other then not much cash in the bout for his standards. Mind you i think the loss to Mayweather should of brought him down the pecking order so a Witter fight for a title would be a perfect fight for Hatton right now. If he wins then he can probably have one more mega fight vs Cotto etc.
The challenger has to take the title (he just has to win the fight) - i hate that one Calzaghe has 21 world title defences
Tucker was skilled Ruddock was determined Thomas was also very skilled the Holmes that Tyson fought still had some skill.
Does the judging prove this is a myth? You do say "should". (edit) I always thought it meant that the challanger had to be prepared to 'bring the fight' to the champ. If the champ wants to go into counter punch mode, that is THE CHAMPS perogitave. I never thought it meant the challanger had to do more to win a round. But, as I say above, there are some fights I see judges seem to have that bias. Some folks would say the scoring of Taylor/Pavlik 1&2 would bear this out, even if 2 wasn't a championship bout.
Morales was shot when he fought Pac the 2nd time Barrera was shot when he 1st fought Pac New myth coming: JMM is a shot fighter on March 15, 2008.
Tyson had been finished for years as at the highest level by the time Lewis faced him. He was nowhere near his prime. I wish people would stop stating Lewis beat Tyson, because he didn't. He beat a Tyson only in name. Everyone knew that at the time, even Lewis would admit that. It was an easy fight with a shot fighter for Lewis and just to get Tysons name on his resume. In fact by that time it was a total mismatch. They shouldn't have even been in the same ring. The medicated Tyson Lewis faced is not the same one who went on the KO streak years early. As time goes by people seem to be being convinced that Lewis beat a prime Tyson. It really is quite alarming what time does to someones resume. What gets forgotten.
