I don't know about the history being really that much different, or Taylor's career for that matter. Taylor had trouble making weight at 140 so he moved up. With the talent level at 147 around then being so high, Taylor's style, and Taylor never being 100% of what he once was, I don't things would've been much different. However he'd at least have been the first to officially hang an "L" to Chavez (the apprently overturned DQ early in JCC's career aside). Chavez then just collects a belt that Taylor vacates as he moves up.
Andrew Golota against Riddick Bowe both times, Lennox Lewis (freezing up, isn't that basically choking?), Michael Grant. Apollo Creed in the rematch with Rocky Balboa.
1. Malignaggi Bottling it against Hatton 2. Hatton on one knee in the 1st against Pac (thinking im ****ed after 2nd knock down) his arse was going like a rabbits nose!!!! 3. Kessler terrified of calzaghe after 2nd round 4. Cotto's arse went in the 6th against Margarito (when his punches did nothing to tony) ....the boricua was balling!!!!!!:| :crybaby And lets Not Forget Cintron ....too many too mention
David Lopez vs zuniga, Zunigas was getting outclassed then suddenly he got koed in the final seconds of the last round, Other metion was Mtgawa vs Villa. But a true clasic was Jorge Castro vs Jhon avid Jackson 1, that was a blody match.
nicky piper.......i remember one of his fights he was winning on the cards by a mile and slowed for a moment and was ko`d clean from a stray punch. it sunk in he was going to win a fight he was meant to lose and he seemed to pause for it all to sink in (choked) then was ko`d
De La Hoya Trinidad was the lost unnaceptable fight judging in any world title fight ever it was a disgrace , anyway : More recently Jermaine Taylor big time choked against Froch that was pretty painfull to watch that one !!!!!!! And i have an unusual one a fight where the guy won but choked as well : Lennox Lewis - Mike Tyson , Tyson was done after round 1 and Lewis still would not engaged scared to death even Emmanuel Steward looked like he was going to have a heart attack when tellin Lewis to " get him out of there "
Taylor/JCC in 1990, Meldrick was ahead on points until a big turnaround KO by JCC in the last round with 16 seconds left to win it. Recently, though not at the same level, Juan Diaz was leading in points against JMM until he left himself open and it was Good Night, Sweetheart.
