Biggest difference between Boxing and UFC.

the biggest differance is MMA is gay and boxing isnt

but ufc is in its infantcy still wait untill the fighters start sking for more money

also ufc is one company no promoters they do as there told for now anyway

 

Already made that point but with Couture instead of Brock as he hasn't really been around long enough to complain about.

 

I stopped watching it when I found out i was fake....

However, I dont **** on MMA, i have experience in grappling,and muaythai.... but i dont enjoy watching it, or see it as a sport...

There is wayyyy more of a lucky factor involved in MMA, than their is in boxing.....

I like it. i mean im not a hardcore fan but i know a lot of people that watch it, got interesting to me, follow it a little bit and i enjoy it now

but its always going to be Boxing over mma....im a student of boxing....i can watch any fight.....**** ill sit and watch fights on this spanish channel out here in cali....espn classic has fight like at 10pm every night....boxing basketball and football i can watch all ****n day....especially when my Chargers are playing....now that i get glued 2

 

I really liked old UFC. The first 10 were ****ing awesome.

No rules. All style match ups. No weight classes.

Brutality.

 

I don't watch any kind of wrestling and I use to purposely not watch it for the reasons you said it's fake. Then I started focusing a bit more on the atheticsm involved in some of those moves, the timing needed to fall on someone and not hurt them. Falling from a cage and landing on a table, fling off the ropes and landing in a manner that both pins a guy yet doesn't hurt them.

I also read a couple of books, one was called under the matt, with Brett Hart. In that book they talked about one of my favourite fighters when I was a kid-young teenager, named Dynamite Kid. Turns out the guy fell wrong one too many times and took a little too many steriods, and is now in a wheel chair for the rest of his life. And you know what? He did it for our entertainment. (and of course the $$). His cousin, a British Bulldog named Davey Smith, who got into wrestling because of the Dynamite Kid, died a couple of years ago, basically due to steriod abuse. So fake or not, these guys are in many ways sacrificing their lives to entertain these kids..

I still won't watch this crap, but I do have much more respect for the sacrifice they make for the sake of entertainment.

 

I guess I just like fighting because I enjoy watching both sports. Grew up watching Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Duran, Holmes, etc, but I can watch GSP, and Anderson Silva and others just as easily.

Basically I just want to be entertained.

I dont mind MMA, but i hate the buisness that has spawned from it...
Many mma fans, equate a street fight to a mma fight with street cloths on :-(

I believe, the BEST self defense style, is boxing, and olympic style wraslin....

All this kickboxing,jujitsu ****... it works in a ring.....
But it will not work against a good boxer/wrassler

 

MMA is gay with there extreme cotoure shirts and tapout gear.

Remember the stupid goldenpalace.com markers on boxers backs that plagued the 90's?

 

UFC prides themselves in their PPV numbers yet their biggest fighters are still making 250-400k. i'm not saying money is why i'm not a UFC fan, but where do these earnings go? UFC wrist bands can't be that expensive to produce.

 

Boxing is to UFC what classical music is to thrash metal.
