Haye vs Audley Maybe next year but i Audley needs to do what he hasn't for 10 year, win 3-4 fights in 6 months agaisnt top level opposition. Longer term Price vs Fury is a big fight for the British title. Hide vs Alafoabi If Hide and Alafobi pull of the upsets in the next 6 months, we could have an all british unification on our hands..............not taking place in Britain. Cleverly vs Bellew Easy fight to make as they are both with Warren. Many on here want to see the fight now, but its a mega fight in 2/3 years. Could even be a unification fight at Light Heavy. Tony Jeffries could be added to the mix. Groves vs DeGale So many to pick at this weight but the hardcore have been talking about this for over a year. Get the feeling Groves could be chasing this fight for a while but if both promoters stick to there promises of delivering Domestic title fights on 2010 they would have to meet eachother. Should be next year, but got a feeling we will have to wait allot longer. Jeffries could again be added to the mix. Paul Smith and Kenny Anderson also make things intresting and an old Brain Magee fighting for a European title. Of course Carl Froch is a world champion and in the Super Six, which he won't be finished with until summer 2011. Will Groves or DeGale be ready to challenge him by then??? Macklin vs Barker Should of happend in September. You can't blame Macklin for going for the Euro title, he should get a World title fight this year but has to come past the dangerous Priog. Hopefully Barker keeps on going and picks up the British and European belts that Macklin vacates, leading to a major domestic fight in 2011, with the winner becoming a big name. Also need to considfer that Macklin vs Moore re-match should deffinatley happen next year, I fancy Macklin big in that fight. Rhodes vs Small Just like Macklin, Rhodes pulled out of a big domestic fight this year to fight for bigger things. The gamble paid off as he pulled of a career best win over Jamie Moore for the Euro title. He will defend it a few times and get a world title shot in 2010, and if Small keeps on winning he can talk his way into fighting Rhodes in a 1st defence. If Rhodes looses his world title challenge, Small would be a decent pay day for him to sign off on. Brook vs Jennings This fight will happen in 2010. Has been scheduled twice this year with both fighters pulling out. There are a couple of decent fights in this division domesticly with Hatton, Watson, O'Donnell, Cox and Witter moving up, but many expect Brook to pull away from the pack and head for world titles. Witter vs Matthew Hatton is a intresting fight for all the wrong reasons. Hatton vs Khan Up there with the biggest ever British fights. If Hatton wins a comeback, and Khan stay on course this would sell any stadium in the country. I got a feeling there is to much money to be made for this not to happen, and that Khan is moving away from Warren to make sure off it. As long as Hatton doesn't take on to much (Marquez) in a tune up, he should take place. McLoskey, Arthur, Gavin and the prizefigher lot make it the deepest division domesticly. Mitchell vs Murray North vs South, this is a massive fight especially if both were to win world titles, which is a tough ask. Would be shocked if Murray doesnt end up with Hatton promotions soon, and Hatton and Warren working together is a non startet. This could slip through the net. Burns vs Cook if Burns beats Martinez, i would put my house on Cook being his first defence. Its a decent fight for a title belt, but niether will be legit world champions Lindsay vs Smith I think Martin Lindsay will clean up domesticly and move on to world level, with Stephen Smith picking up what he has left behind. Smith for me is the best prospect in the country and Lindsay would be a big scalp on his way to World Titles Munroe vs Dunne I guess Dunne is Irish but..........who cares. Its a massive fight which it seems more and more likley will happen in 2010. The winner will fight for a world title Napa vs Booth Could see a re-match of this for the European title. Think Booth and Napa could get world title fights at Super Fly and be competative. Sexton vs Broadhurst The two best prospects around flyweight. Not much money lower down the division so theres a good chance of them fighting one another in the next 18 months.
IMO, Haskins vs Broadhurst (which is happening in a couple of weeks time) is a bigger fight at the weight than Sexton vs Broadhurst. Also Haye vs Audley is NEVER going to happen, Sexton vs Audley is probably the biggest domestic fight your going to get next year. All of the others could happen within the next couple of years. I do hope that Bellew vs Cleverly, Groves vs DeGale, Mitchell vs Murray and Munroe vs Dunne happen :yep
Is Audley really our second best heavyweight....fuccck no wonder everyone is getting excited over a HW that punches himself in the face.
haye/audley wont happen. audley will be lucky to get a shot at the euro strap and even then will get robbed. hide/alafobi wont happen. hides happy to finish up his career fighting bums in germany and i believe afolabi will get beat by huck soon. cleverly/bellew this will happen in a few years time but i reckon both of them will be carrying a loss on there records by then. hatton/khan forget it! rhodes/small macklin/barker brook/jennings the three biggest that shouldve happened this year which pretty much sums up this years domestic scene, **** poor! munroe/dunne looks set for 2010 good stuff! burns and mitchell couldve been in a corker and it wouldnt suprise me if there promoters have made a massive mistake and both go on to lose there next fights, oh dear!
