Pick a weight class and run with it. Some of the heavies are easy: Gerry Cooney Leon Spinks Buster Douglas
I was debating throwing his name up there, wasnt he 1996 medalist for olympic boxing team. I know he had problem with cuts, not sure why he retired so early.
Olympic gold medallist who won a world title before his he had 20 pro fights. Totally dominated by tito trinidad and never recovered.Retired like 2 or so bouts after.. Not sure how hes doing these days..He had decent skill but unfortunetly couldnt have the success he did in the amateurs. Still a olympic gold medal and a pro world title aint a bad level of success.
I don't think Lacy is finished (subject to he recovering from his rotator cuff injury which is a big ask in itself). He desperately needs the right trainer to take his ego out of the equation and work on his skills. I am hopeful he can make a comeback. He is probably not an elite fighter at the peak of the division but he is a lot better than most people think that have jumped on the anti Lacy bandwagon
I remember seeing him in like 2003 or something on his "comeback". Teddy Atlas was training him and he got knocked out by a wide-ass left hook from some bum.
