Biggest Failures from Trainers

Wladmir is a big step up from those light hitting guys. I would think Atlas knows what hes doing here.

 

Mayweather Sr's handling of Ricky Hatton was without doubt the worst performance of any trainer in history. Old Floyd exposed himself as a callous, self-obsessed dumbass who cannot even come close to backing up his talk.

 

The truly bizzare thing is that Steward watched KP for years on the amatuer ciruit. And yet, he encouraged JT to go to war with Pav, and when that didn't work, he basically told Jermain to go out and start a jabbing contest with Kelly ****ing Pavlik!:nono

I have watched both fights many times. If Jermain had fought the first fight the way he fought the second, the judges would have given him the benefit of the doubt, and he would have won.

 

I agree. The Antuofermo and SRL fights should have been big wins for Marvin instead of lingering controversial bull****. Haglar and his corner screwed the pooch no matter who anyone thinks won those fights.

 

Yeah and Byrd and Chambers are a big step up from an exhibition against 86 year old chinny Bruce Seldon.

 

Eddie Futch with Duane Bobick is the King of trainer fails IMO. Futch was so sure he knew some "inside secret" about Norton from his time training him, and said that Bobick would use it to blow him out early. Might've helped if he let Bobick know what it was.

 

Not as much as fighting the Klitschkos. Poventkin has plenty of time to get a little better. I dont think that was such a bad call on Atlas part.

 

I agree, I think Atlas did the right thing.
