really? an opportunity like this only comes around once in a lifetime twice if your lucky. is it really that tough a decision for pacquiao?financially it will make history. imo it shouldn't be he has plenty of time to pursue politics, does he just not want this fight? I understand his popularity is at an all time high and its a great time for him to run but come on pac please don't take this fight away from us. esb what you think about this what would your choice be? doesn't seem like a tough one to me, what would you do? I don't think he's scared of fmj but I think he knows he might lose

I really hope this fight doesn't fall through because of a seat that pac can run for again and he will still be in his 30's imo politics can wait this fight will make history

Being only 18 and having only really followed boxing for 6 years, I don't really have many other big fights compare this to. Where does this rank in terms of the biggest fights in History? Is it as big as the Fab four fights? Bigger than De La Hoya vs Trinidad?

I think once or if they close a deal, then the months leading up to the fight can determine the magnitude of this fight (money wise) compared to the aforementioned. As of now they are just predictions and guesses.Yea so as far as money wise I think it will shatter the records, but the main fight itself will determine the significance it plays in history from a boxing fan's standpoint in the years following this fight.

its very very hard to compare the atmosphere, buildup or overall magnitude of this fight to fights from the old days or past generations in general....ali/frazier, etc. but this is def the biggest fight of this generation. bigger than tito/odlh imho which was the biggest my lifetime so far.

The boxing fans had been calling Floyd to fight Pac after the Hatton demolition. Could this development be considered a huge hindrance to their fight when only few months is being asked? It is already an expected plan by Pacquiao this coming year to join the congress in his country, so why these Money people making so much highlight into it? In the first place, this fight could have happened earlier instead of Pac-Cotto match up, and you people knew it. So just relax, it will happen next year and nobody in Team Pac has said no.

Unlike that greedy beatch Uglyboy, Pac seem like happy what he got and doesn't fight just for the money!!!!!!!
The Beatch on the other hand is only fighting for money!!!!!!

Most profitable fight, perhaps. I maintain that Johnson/Jeffries and Louis/Schmeling were 'bigger' fights with greater impact on the sport of boxing as well as the world outside of it.

Pacman has had a long career. Maybe he wants a break. People are hard on him and other fighters. He is not ducking Mayweather, he is just taking a break. And running for congress? Why not. It is his decision.
