I much much rather see Pacquiao vs. Marquez III instead of Pacquiao vs. Cotto...Some will agree with me that JMM won the 2nd fight.

Yeah, I had JMM winning the second. But regardless, their second fight was epic.

If Cotto could somehow use his right hand like Marquez did, it could spell doom for Pacquiao. I never get tired of watching Pac/Marquez II though :good

it really was one of the most important fights of the era. A pacquiao loss will definitely hurt his legacy. and that win made pac a surefire ATG..

i got it 114-113 for pac
too many rds that couldve gone either way.. rd 1,7,11,12

people who consider this fight a robbery are just plain haters.

mayweather castillo 1 was a robbery imo.

It was P4P#1 fighting P4P#2 with the WBC title on the line, definitely one of the most important fights of this generation. I believe Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be bigger and more important IF Mayweather beats Marquez, if not then a third fight with Marquez could be more important than the rematch and far bigger considering Marquez comes off a win over Mayweather.

Nah, in terms of PPV maybe. But in terms of hype, it is surpassed by:

Whitaker-Chavez. Chavez was 87-0, already considered by many as one of the greatest ever whereas Whitaker was P4P #1 at that time.

DLH-Tito.This fight is not called the fight of the century for nothing. 2 prime undefeated fighters at the very peak of their careers. Both fighters whos little weaknesses in the previous fights and both cleaned up the 147 division.

Lewis-Holyfield 1. Lewis blasted Golota and Holyfield beaten Tyson. If Holyfield had beaten Lewis and retired, he would no doubt be ranked within top 3 greatest HW of all time.

The above fights all ended up in disappointment and did not even came close to living up to the hype.

Just rewatched the fight. From a historical standpoint if Pac beats Cotto and JMM beats PBF this will be considered the most significant fight of the decade. There is a decent chance both these guys will retire as top 20 ATGs and if the 2 were to never fight again this fight will get brought up again and again for decades as of who people scored the fight for.

Pacman was nowhere near his prime when he fought marquez, Pac is a different type of animal now, he actually has a defence.

If both PBF and Pac win their upcoming fights a Pac/PBF matchup will be ATLEAST on the same level as Duran/Leonard.

    Great fight, BTW.
I had the first a draw & gave II 114-113 for Marquez.

But on paper can't compete with
Trinidad Vs. De La Hoya or Whitaker Vs. Chavez
