Who were the biggest fighters at certain divisions when you factor in their (rehydrated) size, Height, and Reach? Tommie Hearns at Welterweight was massive. 6' 1" with a 76 inch reach. The same man who would end up as a cruiserweight. If he fought in the weigh the day before era, he would be 140 or maybe 135 which is a scary proposition. Imagine Prime Hearns fighting in a Lightweight today when 5' 5" Tank Davis is one of the top dogs.
Here is a link about some of the tallest fighters per weight division. https://fightingadvice.com/tallest-boxers-in-history/
Both Galaxy’s were massive. Luisito Espinosa too. Sot Chatilda was comical. Lots of Asian fighters the Thai’s in particular are very big for there weight. Manny Pac in his lower weight days forgotten by most, wasn’t the gangly shrimp we imagine he was very robust, ridiculously so. Sandy Saddler was squeezing and worming his way into his weight class, he was very bullish and didn’t look like he belonged. I can imagine Archie Moore looking peeled at 160lbs. If you want an example from another sport Dieselnoi was a Thai boxer who retired Alexander style because there was no one left to challenge him anymore, he was so tall he had the monicker “Sky piercing knee” or something like that.
That's huge. This whole time I thought Callum Smith was massive for a SMW in the Canelo fight. 6' 6" at 154 is gigantic.
