Would you mind briefly explaining some of these?

Harry Wills, one of his tricks was hitting on the break.

I wonder what it is about Pittsburgh that bred two ATG/HOF dirty fighters, in Greb and Zivic.

Pedroza post-fight(s) said to the effect: "Why should they complain...this is boxing?" .

One name above all, ESUBIO PEDROZA.... hell of a fighter, Hell of a fouler lol. Of all the fighters I've seen no one beat Pedroza at the dirty fighter game.Every trick in the book, elbow after hook, head butts, lacing, thumb in eyes, low blows, holdind and hitting, rabbit punches.... Just everthing Loved to watch him just to see what he'd get away with.

Raul Rojas, Ishimatsu Suzuki and John Conteh were all notorious for use of the head. I think only Rojas freely admitted to it, though.

Galento used to practice fouling his opponents in sparring.

He wore pads on his elbows, to avoid injuring his sparring partners!

Fireman Jim Flynn impressed me with his headbutting against Jack Johnson.
Johnson was no slouch either, especially with the holding and wrestling tactics.

Rocky Marciano was quite extreme at times.
He's likely to give you a 4-piece-foul-combo (headbutt, low-blow, elbow, rabbit punch) ..... and all delivered after the bell ! :D
