Was just trawling through Foreman Jnr's fights and found this guy http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=138691&cat=boxer Nearly 18 years between fights! Surely this is a record
Can't believe he kept getting sanctioned to fight. He used to be a Welter/Light-Middle and now hes at heavy in his mid-late forties against unbeaten youngsters. Guessing he has packed it in now though.
They make their own rules up in that part of the world. Pat O'Grady started his own sanctioning body to give his son a world title and stripped his heavweight champion when he split up from Pats daughter!!! Check out this guy, Buck Smith. Started out as a light welterweight (and has a KO over Kirkland Laing) and was still fighting 20 years later while into his mid 40s as a cruiserweight. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=6117&cat=boxer&pageID=3
That was always Kirkland's problem, he never could outshine Graham. He even went after the 'Get blown away by one punch, after dominating the fight' award for 1990, and is a nailed on certainty to win it for the Smith fight; then Bomber goes and fights The Hawk...
The Mason fight was an exhibition bout. Although as Apollo found out, exhibition bouts in Rocky can be deadly, especially when you are fighting a Klitschk... a Drago! If we count them, then I suspect maybe Jem Mace would be the answer.
