    Wussup...

I'm looking to buy the biggest heavy bag available. I'm looking for a heavy, durable, wide bag that DOESN'T MOVE. I can't stand bags that fly all over the place.

I've been searching online and ringside seems to have the biggest one, but if you guys have any other opinions/advice, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm turning my garage into a complete gym, and want the best equipment in there possible.

The heaviest bag I've ever seen in stores is 100 lbs. for a hanging heavy bag. Unless you are a real big guy I doubt you'll be moving it around a whole lot when compared to a 70 lb. bag. Besides, why don't you want it to move. That allows you to work in toward the bag when moving away and to sidestep it when it swings back.

When I hang a bag, I like to have space all around it so I can move in all directions. I've seen lots of bags mounted in the ceiling or on a stand too close to a wall and that limits your mobility when working the bag.

I checked out the Ringside site you mentioned and you don't think a 150 lb. bag is big enough for your needs???? It's a nice leather bag, but if this is just for yourself in a garage set-up, you don't really need that, you just want that. A 100 lb.canvas bag will work you to death if done right and it costs a hell of a lot less.

I've never hit a ringside bag, but they're apparently very good. We have plenty of Cleto Reyes bags at the gym, very heavy but very tough on the hands.

If you think the heaviest bags that you're looking to buy aren't heavy enough, you aren't hitting the bag correctly.

Best way to get a bag that doesn't move is to anchor it to the floor.

LOL.. with all due respect man, I've been hitting bags for about 20 years so I kinda know how to throw a shot or two. Unless the bag is a 5ft, 6ft job, a simple one-two sends it flying directly in front of you. I don't want that, I'm looking for one that doesn't move and isnt 6ft long and as thin as a sausage.

Thanks for the advice man, and I'm not a big guy - 11st actually. I like having space around the bag, thats fine, but I dont want it flying in all different directions and the thing practically turns into a floor-to-ceiling ball, LOL.

I was thinking of canvas, but I like the idea of the soft foam and real heavy bag that doesnt move. Kinda like the bags I see FMJ using when he's just popping off straight shots.

I'm not saying you don't know how to throw a punch, just suggesting you may not be hitting the bag correctly.

If you can move a 500lb bag, imagine what you can do to mere humans. :scaredas:
