As far as I have seen the biggest fights in the history of the weight and the ones that garnered the most interest were in order of occurence

    Corbett Sullivan
    Johnson Jeffries
    Louis Schmelling II
    Ali Frazier I
    Ali Foreman
    Ali Frazier III
    Tyson Spinks
    Tyson Holyfield I
    Lewis Tyson

I went by impact fan attention. Many title fights are ggood battles or even very interesting but to me thses were the biggest fights of their time. Some of these fights were one sided affairs or did not live up to the hype in the ring but certaintly got every bodys attenetion.

Did I leave any out are there any current matchups that could get this kind of attention. How would you rank the ones I listed.

Not Tyson-Holy I. Holyfield was a crazy underdog, summat like 25-1 against in Vegas. There was little interest relative to the other fights you mention, though obviously there was still a lot of attention against other fights around the world.

It was the shock that absorbed everyone. What a fight.

My bad , didnt notice:good was a classic good vs evil fight even tho shmeling didnt have anything to say about that nor did he want to represent that "Evil" side. Anyway they were friends after the war

Does Ali-Frazier III really qualify? Not that I was around to remember...but I always understood that is was not expected to be much of a fight because:
    - Ali-Frazier II was terrible.
    - Frazier was seen as largely past his prime and washed up.
