One more for tonite, James 'Broad Axe' Broad Did knock out James 'Bonecrusher' Smith, in Smith's first professional fight.
,,,mac foster...never saw him but he had that undefeated record and was rated #1 i think by ring magazine.....matched with jerry quarry, got knocked out and apparently went back to california, not to be heard from again
Came back and lost to Alex Garcia on Tuesday nigth fights. Then kept getting fatter and loosing more until he just dropped out.
Tyrell Biggs was the first that came to mind. Guys who had heavyweight world titles shouldn't be considered flops though.
Chris MacDonald, White heavyweight, that was pushed big-time by CBS? Had a very good amateur run, and ran off [8] victories in a row, while looking good. Then they threw him in with James 'Bonecrusher' Smith, and he lost an 8-round decision. He faded from the TV screen. Bonecrusher used that fight as his springboard.
I don't think Tyrell Biggs should qualify for consideration because the guy was pretty decent until cocaine derailed him.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Maybe teh "Taco Bell Fanatic World Super-Duper Heavywieght Lardass Championship" :deal
Carl 'The Truth' Williams (has to be in the Top 10 Floppers) Ed 'Too Tall' Jones Mark Gastineau James J. Beattie How about a blast from the northwest,,,yes,, The Great Ibar Arrington:!:
I would qualify Too Tall as a success. Who would have thought he could have been half that good? Gastineau is more what I think your best footballers would look like in the ring. From the great northwest, don't forget Boone Kirkman. Before Foreman, he only got beat by an old Doug Jones (which he avenged) and also added Amos Lincoln to his lits of victims. After Foreman, he beat Ellis. Sadly, it was all downhill from there.

Had an amateur boxing record of 72-1 with 72 knockouts. Lost his first amateur match by decision. Won 72 straight one round knockouts as an amateur. If you add his first 9 pro fights which he won by knockout, Tashabalala scored 79 straight knockout victories. Highly regarded in the pro ranks. Failed to live-up to his hype. Seamus McDonagh White heavyweight, based out of Brooklyn, New York. Born in the United Kingdom Had a 'big' following in NYC, primarily from British and Irish fans. He lost, and all his fans turned their back on him.
