You just see certain fighters that have the type of power where when they land the opponent has the craziest reactions. And Stevenson definitely had that.

Honestly, other than Earnie Shavers and Deontay Wilder who wasn't ? That argument can be made ... how many one punch KO's did Marciano or Louis or Dempsey have ? Louis hit Galento with dozens of punches and many others to stop them .. was he a volume puncher? Same argument for Ray Robinson. If Galindez was still alive you could ask him how hard Johnson hit. I'm not sure Galindez was ever flattened before , stopped yes pre-title on cuts and flattened ? He was the first guy to stop Parlov and Stewart as well... he badly hurt Saad multiple times ... the man could crack.

Oh I'm not saying he was a light puncher but he was known as a volume puncher who set a very fast pace often in danger of burning himself out.
He stopped Stewart in the first fight on cuts and in the first Saad fight he did hit Saad with many punches.
He ended up breaking Victors jaw but Victor absorbed many shots.

He flattened Galindez , knocking halfway across the ring late in the fight no less ... a lot of people hit Victor. Marvin KO'ed him .. He was a lot more than a volume puncher (in my opinion) .. he also had tough career timing ... he peaked against a prime Saad Muhammad, a prime Mustafa ( Eddie's best career fight) and a prime Michael Spinks ... If he peaked against Virgil Hill he would have beaten Hill ands many other light heavyweight's ..

Glen Johnson was a volume puncher . Yaqi Lopez was a volume puncher ... Marvin Johnson could crack ...

So who would you say had more one punch knockouts Johnson or Stevenson? Johnson or Moorer at light heavy?
The famous promoter Peltz often was critical of Johnson saying he would have gone much further had he just paced himself and not fought like an amateur.
