Way to go Lamont. Was looking forward to this fight. This may never happen although Khan insists that he wants 2 fight on May 19th...

Tyson had his tko win changed to a NC for testing positive to a drug, so if they can prove that Peterson cheated for the first fight, then yes, it should be changed to a NC.

Ben Johnson and Marion Jones agree with me on this one.

Peterson is a low life of the highest order, the uncle referee, the hatman and now clearly on steroids against Khan and still he only barely squeezed by a doubtful win.

This is a clear case of cheating and endangering other fighters life, wasting everyone's money ...Peterson should be banned for life if the governing bodies are serious about cleaning up the sports.

In my opinion it's more than cheating, if it was it would be a fairly open shut case.

Peterson has cheated, then gone out of his way to cover it up, by potentially destroying the evidence, and has misled the VADA and the boxing commission. If it's proven that Peterson had the testosterone taken out while claiming he didn't know he had it. Given that it was a big fight with millions of dollars at stake, I'd say it's a big deal. Isn't that seen as perjury or perverting the course of justice?

Removing a testosterone implant isn't something you can do yourself. It needs to be done by a doctor or clinician in a clinical environment.

Hmm... not sure if it a legal issue or not. I guess it would be in the charter of the commission that makes a difference here.

You cant ban anyone unless you have primary governing body that is serious about banning everyone.

it was a breast implant gone wrong, own up lamont

He nearly got away with it and im sure there are others out there who have the system figured out and time it better than lamont or else lamont timed it fine just got caught out at the press conference, it may come out at some point in the future, not for a while yet im sure

I know MLB offers "Medical Use Exemptions" for players to take medications that would otherwise cause a positive test. That way a guy like A-fraud or David Ortiz can get anti-inflamatorries of the steroidal variety and avoid being properly labeled as cheats. A-fraud even went to Canada to get a bogus prescription from a doctor who is now barred from entering America.

It's not surprising that boxers, given the advancement of testing, will pursue this loophole. It is surprising that Peterson's camp came out with such a stupid explanation.

Nothing tested negative. They all were positive.
Also, if you are in such a sport, you can lose testosterone. Many take drugs to regain things non athletes have.

Nope...it's been widely reported that a second sample was taken that came back negative.

Also Peterson's attorney seems to be claiming that the implant was a one-off treatment. That's not strictly true. It may be a one off procedure, but hormonal implants are designed to release a small amount of hormone over a long period of time (months). It's no different pharmacologically to applying the cream or taking injections every day.

That's why he tested positive in March even though he had the implant fitted in 2011.

Yep, just go to Luxemborg. Ask Haye and Chisora. Of course the States aren't part of the EU so that probably isn't an option if he wants to fight here.
