RJJ, SRL and Naz obviously had been influenced by Ali and Ali was influenced by SRR before that. JCC Sr is the prototype for the Mexican style and Toney's style had been influenced by George Benton. Tyson was an improved prototype of Joe Frazier.

Who would you say was the biggest influences on fighter styles?

Body type. It's hard to stick and move if you're built like Mike Tyson. Generally you box in the style that your body dictates. If you're tall and long, you're a boxer who can stick and move. If you're short and squat, you better put pressure on your opponent and get inside or else you're going to be very limited in what you can do.

I remember in an old interview that Hopkins saying advice he received from Harold Johnson was a major influence in the way he fought.

This. Physical characteristics have the greatest influence. Bone structure and consequently musculature play enormous roles and are the 2 biggest factors in punching power.

Mike Tyson modelled his style on Jack Dempsey. Dempsey was his hero

I would say Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather in recent times.

Mayweather was responsible for many boring, defensive fighters and fighters really being bothered over the 0 ( but theres only one Mayweather)

and Vasily Lomachenko has influenced a lot of boxers over the last few years

Trainer. Whether the trainer can help you adapt a style best for you (Eddie Townsend was a genius at this) to fight to your physical strengths and cover your weaknesses.
