Broner is hated for sure, but I'm not sure he has been the biggest joke. He has won a world title and after the PDL fight proved he was decent world champion at 130 and 135 before the wheels really started falling off. Amir Khan and Broner can't seem make anyone hate them any less. Audley Harrison is a joke and Haye-Harrison is the biggest farce of the last decade but I think Eubank Jr takes the cake. He lost his pen for the GGG fight, claimed to be avoided, behaved disrespectful about Nick Blackwell, called Brook a quitter, moved to 168 for a bogus IBO world title on PPV and called himself a world champion. Was schooled by Groves and has been in hiding pretty much since.
Personally - I voted for Charles Martin. Martin kind of redeemed himself with his gutsy performance in a losing cause against Kownacki - but there's never been a HW champion who was so minimally-accomplished. He took the IBF belt ONLY because: a) Fury threw the IBF belt in the trash b) Glazkov fished it out and figured Martin would be an easy 1st voluntary c) Glazkov's knee blew apart. Prior to that title "fight" - here's a look at the best wins on Charles Martin's résumé: Kerston Manswell - aka "the man who could not stop swelling" (seriously, he put on 5-10 lbs for every fight of his pro career) Joey Dawekjo. OK, Martin is the onlyboxer who has actually stopped Dawejko - but Joey took that bout on 4 days notice and gassed Alexander Flores. Alex probably could have gone a few more rounds with Parker had JP not repeatedly punched him in the nuts - but he's no contender. Maybe there have been worse HW champions (can't think of one; but not ruling it out)- but never, ever has there been one with a less-convincing résumé and one who was so awfully-prepared for a real opponent.
Broner for me. Just a circus act really. I can understand people not liking rigondeaux but i always felt sorry for him, everyone ducked him and then he had to go up 2 divisions to get humiliated, he shouldn't of quit though i agree.
Wilder is 1 and 1 in ten years against stiff competition, and got more publicity knocking out Zelenoff and a Burrito and is lucky the U.S fans are dumb as hell otherwise he would have been forced to face Klitchko and not avoid any top ten guy before going into 2018 that fans would want to see him fight.....theres the your answer not including dozens of other reasons.
Another name that should have been on this list... Malik Scott. a) His ridiculous dive he took against Wilder b) His cowardly performance against Luis Ortiz.

Khan - world title Rigo - world title Audley - european title Eubank - British Broner - 4 x world Martin - world Haye - 2x world Price - british Patel - hungarian Yarde - nothing
Wilder. I still can't believe that so many people get behind him with all the stupid stuff that he says and how he is ducking AJ, Whyte, he ducked Klitschko, Parker and most of the best heavyweights. Yet people still think he is the best...without fighting the best hahah. His resume up until last years was the most pathetic out of all the champions in any weight class
