    Vargas wasn't given time to fully develop as a pro, he went from fighting journeyman to championship caliber elite with no in between.

    I agree to a certain extent with your point about Vargas. In relation to how his career progressed then yeah Trinidad was the logical fight but then think about it he was what 22? By the time he faced Wright, Quartey and Trinidad. Could you imagine a young fighter coming through now and facing that level of opponent that young?

    Irrelevant to damn much paper belts around today, he was "champ" and defended it while the best in division fought each other...at no point was he better than Froch Kessler or Ward, with paper belt he was never top 3 in his division dont care what hype did, fact remains he was nowhere near level he was hyped up to be. :nono

    He is still a draw I never said he would beat PBF dummy. He's still had a good career won titles in 3 different weight classes so I don't even know why he was even mentioned in this thread? You're not a hypejob if you do that before the age of 26.:deal
