I was reading an old Ring Mag and they were doing a section on Hopkins/Trinidad and it got me thinking about how big that win was for Hopkins' career...

So, what were your most significant wins of the last 100 years? In terms of history and for that fighter's career.

I'll throw a quick top 10, kind of in order.

    1. Ray Leonard over Marvin Hagler
    2. Muhammad Ali over Big George
3.. Joe Louis over Max Schmeling
    4. Henry Armstrong over Barney Ross (126 lb champ beating the 147 lb champ to unify 2 weights)
    5. Harry Greb over Gene Tunney
    6. Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston
    7. Buster Douglas over Mike Tyson
    8. Jake Lamotta over Ray Robinson
    9. Joe Frazier over Muhammad Ali
    10. JC Chavez Sr. Over Meldrick Taylor/Foreman over Moorer

Had a hard time with the last one. But I feel that W over Taylor really cemented his claim as THE heroic, Mexican legend he is today.

And if it wasn't for Foreman's KO over Moorer, one of the greatest heavyweights would be remembered most for being rope-a-doped in Ali's biggest triumph.
