Biggest myth: the heavyweight division is at its all time worst. "the heavyweight division is at its all time worst," has been around since I have followed boxing which goes back to around 1980. In fact, that sentiment goes back even farther than that. "The Bum Of The Month" club etc. Does anybody want to pretend like the heavyweight division is going to improve, does anybody think in the future it will be considered better than now? The heavyweight division sucks has been around for so long, so consistently that it is basically meaningless to me.
So you are saying that the guy PAC went life and death with four times and got knocked out cold the last time is not a HOFer? :think
Nah, this era is a utter disgrace. The 80's got crapped on because Holmes was no Ali but who is. The 80s are extremely underrated but is sandwiched between two great decades so is understandable. Outside of the bros not a single fighter will be even vaguely remembered.
You had many greats like ali and Norton bowing out at the beginning of the decade plus Forman stated his comeback and young up and comers like Tyson evander, spinx and Tyson coming up. 2010s had zero greats now out and I do not see ANY future good fighters after the bros
yes, the HW division is the weakest it ever been.. but, that myth has been going for 4 decades, same **** new fans. the people who have been fans for decades hear that same **** every year.. i would love to hear the last time we have two HW's as dominant as the Klits. only truthfully LL was dominant but who else and no one at the same time. we have 2 HW's that dominated pretty much for a decade straight. the worst myth to me is you have to do more to "beat" the champ.. WTF does that mean judges are going to give the champ close rounds all the time... once you eneter the ring the championship is up for grabs. who ever won should win. i dont care if you beat him by 1 point or 20 points
