Did he **** Mike Tyson? Serious now:http://www.confusingtheenemy.com/book.html Is it like what is said in this article? Some things. Hypocricy on monopolies, keeping where he lives secret, living with a younger man. Abused by his father.
That a 5'11, 217lb 20yr old could defeat any heavyweight that ever lived in his prime. Straight myth.
Tyson would have a chance. Some with more trouble than others. It is more a case of having a lot of luck.
Biggest myth among non-boxing fans: Boxing is boring. It's just two guys beating each other up. Non-boxing fans miss the beauty and intricacies of the sport. They don't see the dangerous chess match that takes place in a fight or recognize the ebb and flow of forces that decide the outcome of a fight.
It lowers available testosterone, (Well, androgen, technically) - but only for a short time. You probably wouldn't want to get laid just before a fight. - but 24 hrs before? There is no statistical proof that I know of (and I have a Masters in E-Physiology.) The upside is that it relaxes you and (temporarily) increases reflex times. The common idea with old-time trainers (and they may be right) is that if you don't get laid, you'll train harder to work of that "frustration." - not unlike taking anabolic steroids. I wouldn't quite call it a "myth."
Adrian could probably beat Charr in a 12-rounder. Heck, Vitali could get blown by the entire Ukranian women's football team on the day of the fight, with the last one finishing 2 minutes before his walk to the ring, and Charr will STILL be going home in a body bag.
They are getting paid either way...this logic fails. They did not to fight each other in order to get paid.
It is not anything new, Frazier and Norton were good friends and never fought each other...same with sweet Pea and Meldrick Taylor....It has been going on for years. Sometimes you must...but if you don't have to why on earth would you?
They say there mother is why they will never fight. Supposedly they use to have "brutal" sparring sessions and they had to stop because of that. So they use to beat the **** out of each other all the time for free so why not for money? What bigger fight could be made at heavyweight? Or in boxing?
If somehow a father & son were the two best fighters in a division, they should either fight each other, or one should retire. That's it. Everything else is complete BS.
