You have GOT to be trolling.

Either that or you really would be stupid enough to pay to watch what would be nothing more than a glorified sparring session.

    As Roberto Duran once said.

"Any pro fighter who says he doesn't fight for money is either a liar or an idiot."

Therefore I hate all the " legacy " bull**** from fans and fighters.

    112-114 Taylor
    112-114 Taylor
    116-110 Froch

The scorecards if Taylor survived, every judge gave froch AT LEAST 5 rounds, thats 5/12, thats almost HALF, in Taylors HOMETOWN

That the shoulder roll is called the philly shell.

That SRL, decided to fight Duran flat footed. Duran trained hard and cut the ring off like a true ATG.

Broner is a douchebag. I'm from Cincinnati...you think we'd be thrilled to have a big name fighter bringing fights to town (which he is and does) but he's such a dip**** I'm embarrassed to claim him.

    Truth.

Agree that Floyd has avoided difficult fights, cherry picked opponents and is a dirtbag of a human being.

However, I don't see anyone out there close to his weight who could beat him at the moment. Maybe Martinez.. but that is a big weight jump for Floyd so you couldn't really hold that against him if he lost.

I have family I'd punch in the face for free. :)

Who is your avi? I see that chick all over the place.

This is no Myth bud. They call Toney, Bhop, PBF and JMM (who happene to be the best boxers in the last 20 years) old school for a reason.

boxing always had its ups and downs but it was pretty much at its zenith in terms of talent in the 80s:

HW; Holmes Champ top 5 ATG @ HW,
Lennox, Tyson, holyfield coming up (many of the greats from the 70s finishing off in the early 80s)

    CW; Holyfield GOAT @ CW
Qawi, Deleon as number 1-2 ever at the weight

LHW; Spinx as the man, top 5 LHW
    Qawi, Muhmad

    SMW not really a division

MW; MMH the GOAT at MW (at least top 3)

    LMW; Hearns the GOAT

    WW; SRL top2 at weight

    LWW; Pryor, arguello, JCC

LW; Duran the GOAT @ LW

    SFW; nelson the GOAT

FW; The late great Salvador Sanchez RIP

Man the **** goes on and on.

The biggest myth is that Boxing is still getting better. Like I said Boxing has always had its peaks and valleys but it absolute best was 80s, the 80s were sandwiched between the next two best decades the 70s and the 90s. The farther you go away (either way) from the 80s there was a steady improvement as you approach it and as we go away there has been a steady decline.

why was the 80s so great? IMO,

    1) In the 60 and 70s Ali had raised the profile of the sport to new heights around the world (I think if there was no Ali there would be no Pac . . . thrilla in manilla).

    2) The number of Boxing Gyms increased during that time and has decreased at an accelerated rate since. Yes, a lot of trainers have died off not passing their knowledge because of decline in popularity.

    3) Boxer still boxed a lot and all the top fighters, the more you fight the more you learn.

The sport has declined in all regions of the world except Eastern Europe which has seen a steady increase. unfortunately, one region cannot make of for the rest of the world. It has only stopped the bleeding, Hopefully Cuba will open up in the next few years to help reinforce the sport more.

IMO, there is no question boxers are not as good as back in the 80s, TBH I think they would be comparable to the late 60s I think there are a few would would be competitive (or even the champ) in any time but that can be said for any era.

The 90's were one of the best decades in boxing. In terms in great fights the 90's sucked and the 2000s are better for great fights.
