    I think looking back it would have been humiliating but at the time Cooper was the best opponent Ali faced.

    there's some truth to that I just don't think it would be "humiliating". Not in the way Stevens loss to Boone was.

    Joey Abell kd'd Kubrat Pulev in a stay busy fight while he was waiting for Wlad. If that was a ko instead of a kd, it would have not only been epically humiliating, but cost him what, considering his lack of subsequent activity, looks like it will be his only title shot.
