Fact is Clay (Ali) was clowning & Henry nailed him. He went down but was quickly up but in no condition to continue. The ball saved him. What Angelo did was great corner work he bought Ali more time when he put his finger in a slight tear in Ali's glove seam made it worse & called ref over. The extra time that earned Ali was enough for his head to clear. They didn't have another glove so the fight continued. Ali wasn't clowning any more he literally tore Henry's face apart. Had ENERY's AMMER , as he called his great left hook, landed earlier in the round history would defnately have been re written

 

Gotta give you a :good on citing that Rahman-Lawrence fight. Rock looked like he'd become Zuri's first and only KO victory there. :-(

Well... since you brought up MMA, I'd throw in Rousey-McMann. It looked to me like Rousey was going to have serious trouble in that one before Dean prematurely called the fight off. The fans were robbed of seeing how Rousey could respond to being hit virtually at will by an Olympic wrestler (meaning the clinches would've also been interesting).

Tyson Fury vs McDermott I. McDermott isn't bad bad as an average British scene heavy, but Tyson was being massively hyped up back then and a domestic level loss like that could have hurt his career.

Fury also flirted with disaster in back to back fights against non-punchers Firtha and Pajkic.
