That could of gone either way in all honesty, not a robbery, but the scorecards where ridiculous

Williams Vs McDermott I had me in disgust when the scores where out.

The first Curtis Parker-Mustafa Hamsho fight. I watched it with a buddy of mine and we would always bet a buck on the fights. He liked Hamsho, I liked Parker. I scored it 7-3 Parker, he had it 6-4 Parker. It was so obvious who had won he paid me the buck before the decision was rendered. The decision was so ridiculous for hamsho we could only laugh as I returned his money and handed over another buck. One judge scored it the same as I, but the other two scored it something like 5-4-1 Hamsho. Robbery.

Good call. I don't think there's even a 10-second clip of that fight where you could argue Roy didn't have the upper hand.

Disgraceful -- won outstanding boxer award and got the silver.

Wilfred Benitez vs Bruce Curry I

Clearly the biggest robbery with a Champion in a 'non-title' bout.

Madison Square Garden (Matchmaker - Teddy Brenner) was protecting Wilfred Benitez
against a loss, as they had a big $$$$ fight set-up with Roberto Duran.

Even the Purto Rican fans in Madison Square Garden started fires in the arena.

No, but unlike Steve Farhood -

I was there that Friday Night at Madison Square Garden in November 1977.

Little Steve Farhood (age 20) was nowhere near Madison Square Garden that night.

Perfectly acceptable under the rounds scoring system IMO. If that's what the judges were using, I don't really see how the decision can be disputed :conf

Arthur Mercante had it.......... 5-4-1 for Bruce Curry

Bill Smith had it.................... 7-3-0 for Wilfred Benitez

I was there that Friday Night, and it wasn't even close.

On rounds, I had it 6-4 Benitez. A draw or a round either way is fine in my eyes.

Going by the rounds scoring system it's not a robbery in any capacity IMO. Fair decision in my eyes. Yes, the outcome may not have accurately represented how the fight transpired but that just sums up the rounds system and why it's not used any more.
