Which fight had the most hype going into it for a variety of reasons and it turned out to be a one sided domination?

not the biggest, but perhaps the biggest hype scandal, Tyson v McNeil.

a lot of BHop fights were a let down, and the HWs in general.

If you count fixed fights, the two Clay-Liston fights.

    Easily Tyson vs Spinks

I also thought Jones Jr. vs. Toney was a major let down as well. I thought it was gong to be an all-time classic and it turned out to be Jones in a boring landslide.

    Tyson vs Spinks

Closely followed by Hearns vs Duran.

    Hopkins-Trinidad

I remember watching this one with an enormous sense of anticipation, hoping that Trinidad would win, (although I had a gut feeling about Hopkins) to set up a mega fight with Roy Jones (which I was certain Jones would win easily) only to watch Bernard put on a clinic and render one of boxings best punchers completely ineffectual.

Hopkins really opened my eyes to how well schooled he was that night as I'd previously lumped him as with your Joppy's and Keith Holmes's as a good fighter but not special but clearly he was (even though I can't stand him).

    Tyson-Spinks by a country mile.

Hopkins-Trinidad is a good call also. I was rooting for Hopkins but felt Trinidad would expose him. Boy was I wrong. The thing that made it even more amazing was that Hopkins was telling everyone who would listen exactly how the fight would go before hand and he was 100% right. He predicted that it would be one sided, that he would grow more dominant as the rounds went on, and even predicted that Papa Trinidad would be forced to stop the fight in the final round. Its one thing to call the round you are going to KO your opponent in. But to predict in that much detail how you will win and then do it is pretty incredible. Especially against an elite, P4P, all time great like Tito.

Norton-Bobick comes to mind tho my buds and I all saw it as a mismatch from the start, unlike many of the public.
