Jiro Watanabe was linked to the yakuza, arrested a couple of times for blackmail and spent time in jail for supplying an attempted murderer with a firearm.
A TV pundit and former boxing champion who killed a man with a single punch has been jailed for life for murder. Richie Woodhall, 35, punched Tony Wolfbones "without warning" after scuffling with his friend in the toilets of a nightclub in Woodside, Telford, in October 2005. Sentencing him to serve at least 11 years in jail, Judge Clement Goldstone QC told Woodhall, from Birmingham, he had acted like a bully towards the men. "Your fist became a lethal weapon and you must now pay the price," he said. The trial heard Woodhall, a former world WBC champion who had fought at middleweight and super-middleweight, would have known the punch "was likely to cause really serious harm".
Floyd's gotta be up there, based on what he did to serve time AND based on his unbelievable arrogance and ignorance and how he treats people around him.
A TV pundit and former professional boxing world champion was part of a gang jailed for 77 years today for smuggling £11million of cocaine into the UK with the help of corrupt British Airways workers. Richie Woodhall, 31, formerly of Woodside, Telford was today locked up for 13 years for conspiracy to supply cocaine in February and August 2013. The drugs were transported in two loads and flown on British Airways flights to Heathrow Airport, Southwark Crown Court heard.
'In July 2009, Woodhall was staying at The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas when he phoned a local escort service and had a woman sent to his room. The 21-year-old woman said later she was there to strip and nothing else. She claimed Woodhall attacked her in the walk-in closet after she demanded to be paid up front. Woodhall barricaded himself in the bathroom and police discharged pepper spray under the door until he surrendered. Woodhall's legal defense faced the further difficulty of the Clark County DA's reopening of a similar ***ual assault allegation against him from eight months earlier which took place at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Woodhall was released on bail and placed under house arrest, able to train and fight again until his trial. He was remanded after two more similar allegations surfaced from Arizona. Woodhall was deemed incompetent to stand trial and was sent to a state facility. Medical experts concluded he exhibited bipolar disorder and a judge granted permission to force-medicate him. Eight months later, two and a half years after his arrest, he was ruled cogent enough to plea.'
