I will always remember this one. I can remember Earnie giving an interview many years after the fight about his tussle with Holmes.
"I trained so hard for that fight, like no other. The punch I put Larry down with was the hardest one I ever threw. When it connected, the feeling went through all my bones on the right side of my body like a sort of shock through my joints. Larry was down and I went to a neutral corner thinking I was the new champ. When I turned round and saw Larry climbing off the canvas, I thought to myself, Ah well, I might as well get myself showered and back home to the family. He has been a great champion"
