Biggest punch you've seen taken

Arguello-Pryor I 13th round right hand up the middle by Arguello.

 

Khans uppercut on maidana in the 11th i think it was not sure, clean lifted him off his feet
Nigel benn hit gerald mcclellan with a right that almost knocked his head off I remember thinking at the time how'd he take that punch

 

They would be sweeping glass for days.

 

I think the power in that uppercut is somewhat exaggerated. You have to remember that Vitali is a very tall opponent, and even though his head was slightly bent the uppercut still had to travel too far for it to have maximum effect.

Generally speaking uppercuts also rarely knocks out opponents.

 

This has to be a top 3, Vitali should've went down. No damn idea how he stayed up from that. Lennox stood him up like a pole

Honorable mention: Chris Byrd getting hit with the uppercut from Ibeabuchie. he got stopped shortly after but how he even got up from that shot before getting stopped as small as he is, is beyond me.

lord that was a savage punch. If you watch the video Byrd was literally slobbering from the mouth when he got up.

 

Tommy Morrisons lethal left he decapitated Ruddock with,i still don't know how he got up as short after as it was.

The punishment Wlad Klitchko hit Mariusz Wach with

Ron Lyle leveling Foreman at the end of round 4 and foreman wobbled but getting up walking to his corner.

Morrison was hit with a combo,not just a punch..he also didn't take it ,he was out after that.

 

You can even go back to round 11 when Arguello hit Pryor to the body then the head, and in round 12 Pryor returned the favor in the exact fashion to Arguello.

IIRC, Pryor had to be pulled back to his corner following the 11th round, he was too busy smiling at Arguello after the bell rang...!!!

it`s a huge mystery how mercer took these colossal punches

 

Wladimir teed off on Mercer at the beginning of the 6th round where you can tell he really sat down/dug in with the shot. It was a shot more to Rays chest but it knocked the rest of the fight out of him and was the beginning of the end. Lampley goes "Oh what a bomb! Oh what a right hand!" check it out and listen to the impact. NASTY

 

The huge right hand Kovalev hit Hopkins with.
