Gomez had nowhere near the punching power that Garza did, in my opinion. He really wasn't even that big a puncher as far as single shot power is concerned (the one-off Kobayashi KO notwithstanding). He was just a great combination puncher, and far superior on the whole to Garza.

Good points i agree a strong argument can be made for Jaime Garza, but i still think Gomez was a very hard puncher at JF... Another guy i was tempted to name was Manny pacquiao, although he wasnt at JF too long. But Manny hit very hard at JF too.

All these guys had never been knocked down (that i can remember) and none of them had ever been stopped.

    Peter
Chambers *The ringside doctor said he actually stopped breathing for about 15-20 seconds and he was about to start to try resuscitating him but Chambers started breathing on his own again*
    Chagaev
    Thompson
    Brewster
    Brock
    Mercer
    Schultz

*Byrd only stopped once and was known for having a very good chin.

Name someone who is more proven at HW.
