Vitali shouldn't be on that list personally, you could swap him with provodnikov. Matthysse, golovkin and wlad are imo maybe the biggest punchers on the list

It is very difficult because quality of opposition is a massive factor In determining this.

Haye HAS a reputation of being a devastating puncher.

But the reality is he has only 3 'proper' KOs in his career all against less than stellar opponents and took a 26 punch combo to finish Audley via TKO whereas David Price put him to sleep for 2 minutes in the first round with just a couple of punches.

Equally Tyson Fury is not seen as a devastating puncher.

However he has exactly the same number of KOs as Price and Haye, and against the much better opposition. Steve Cunningham for example had never been TKOd let alone KOd prior to facing Fury.

Whereas Audrey has taken naps vs Williams, Wilder, Sprott, Haye & Price - making stopping Harrison not a particularly great indicator of punch power, more an inditement of his feeble punch resistance.

I guess you would need some kind of boxrec system for each weight division and take into account KOs and the number of fights and defeats the opponents these have been achieved against.

I certainly can't be bothered to work all this out .. But I guess on that basis Wlad is the hardest p4p puncher.

He has KOd Eddie Chambers & Tony Thompson just for starters ...

Sprott did a better job on Aud than Haye did.

Surely Deontay wilder gets a shout!!

  6. Remember quality of opposition is the key to telling a world class puncher
So we don't have any idea really of his power because of his feeble opposition

Loved his ko of kelvin price though, the most telegraphed ko of all time maybe but he smashed him big time

Anyone saying Haye or Wilder is pathetic.

Haye's never knocked a man out cold.

If someone like Steve Cunningham (Not a puncher) fought Wilder's opp, they would be 280(280)-0

Has Randall Bailey retired? I would include him if he hasn't. Not heard much about him since the Alexander loss.

I think Stiverne actually is a massive puncher :good

GGG has been KOing Old Japanese lightweights.

That's no more impressive than Price taking out Tom Dallas in 2 when Tor Hamer takes him out in 1 :yep

Golovkin will do well to beat Macklin let alone KO him.

    * screen grabs page for future reference *

How do you feel Sturm (who Macklin 'beat) or Martinez who Macklin went 11 with (and scored a KD) would perform vs GGG?

    KO 1–3 right !?!

I'll give you better odds than the bookies if you really want?

    Golovkin will KTFO of Macklin.
