We all know Tony Thompson gets hit a fair amount by not the best boxers in the world. He is going to be in there with the best Saturday. The biggest question to me is how is he going to react when getting hit by ONE (not the) of the hardest hitters in the past 10 years?

This is a totally different fight then the one with Sultan. Sultan was strictly on defense and running the whole fight. The good thing wether its a good thing for Tony or not, he is going to want to fight. I feel that will be his undoing but atleast he will go down trying.

Im a folksyle wrestler, my mentality has always been, i would rather lose a match by pin while trying to win rather then losing a match by 1 point and not trying. Im just glad Thompson is a game fighter.

Thompson is probably not strong enough to pressure Wlad, but that's how you take Wlad's game away. If you're going to stand in front of him and eat jabs, forget it... unless you can jab back.

Though I think Wlad should win I wouldnt be shocked to see Tony show up for this fight in a big way, look at the last 5 fights on Wlads resume he hadnt been in there with someone who fought him back in more than 2 years since he fought Peter.
So if Tony is game and does have a fight plan I expect to see Wlad look a bit suspect in spots during the fight, but Wlad must not fall asleep at the wheel here as he had in other fights such as the first Brewster fight and the Sanders fight if that happens Tony will win.
I think Tonys style and reach will give Wlad some trouble early but one Wlad gets into his rythem he should be able to pick him apart.
but it will be interesting to see how he deals with his second BIG Southpaw, the first one was sanders and you all know what happend there, but since he has only faced Byrd and Ibragamov, not exactly big guys.
we will see how this fight plays out for Wlads sake I hope Tony brings it, Wlad needs a fight to reclaim himself as the top Heavyweight, his last fight even though he won, it left a bad impression on the public.

Both Brock and Byrd went after Wlad when they fought him. Brock did a lot of work to the body, though it didn't seem to have much effect.

Exactly and both brock and Byrd these days are considered small Heavys, Thompson is a big man, the last big man Wlad has faced that fought him back was peter so if Thompson is game and attempts to test wlad it will be interesting.

I sure he'll try in the early rounds, but that will leave him open to counters and may shorten his 15 minutes

it depends though Honestly, I dont think much of Thompson but he does have some good wins on his resume and he seems to be able to hold his own in there.
I hope the Wlad Panick attacks are not a factor if this guy is more than what Wlad expected and it gets to Wlad mentally ohhh ****! honestly I am hoping to see a great fight and I think we might get one here honestly

probably one of the top 30 hard hitters in the last 10 years. maybe 29th hardest hitter.

wlad is floating on hot air fighting bloated opponents who are also full of hot air :good

I picked Oleg over Peter so now I think twice before opening my mouth, but I'd have to bet my chips on Wlad.
