Ok so this thread is reserved for what you personally feel were big robberies of boxing matches. Note that this requires you to have watched the match ;)

So I'll start it up with these two..

Meldrick Taylor v. Julio Cesar Chavez

    and of course,

Oscar de la Hoya v. Felix Trinidad

    LET THE CONTROVERSY BEGIN.

The Roy Jones one was clearly a retaliation for the reputed bias shown toward American boxers in 1984 - when all but one (I believe) of the decisions favoured the USA fighter in LA.

Clearly the judges ought to have picked a more even fight in order to 'rip off' an American if that was their desire.

This fight was an absolute **** take, Jones must have landed more shots than the other guy actually threw, and ended with the so-called 'winner' being completely humiliated in front of the entire world.

Call me stupid, but I felt just as sorry for the Korean as I did for Jones. Obviously Jones would have been seriously dejected having easily 'won' the fight, but the other guy was robbed of his dignity, having to act like an Olympic champion at the medal ceremony despite looking like a seriously beaten, and depressed man.

The Chavez v Taylor was NO robbery unless you're Lou Duva, Taylor was up at 5 but never answered Richard Steele's question "Are you alright/OK" he was out of it & just ignored Steele & looked too his right at Duva climbing in the ring BANG YOU'RE OUT:yep **** all too do with 2 seconds remaining as it's a 3 minute round regardless of the fact Chavez would not have had time to deliver the finisher FULL STOP:smoke

I went 2 this fight & i'll never forget it ever, absolute ****in mayhem & well worth the nightmare 20 hr flight over:happy

Duva is 100% responsible for that last round as he told Taylor you've got too win this last round big,he must have been the only **** in the Hilton who thought Chavez was level on points:lol:
