biggest robbery in recent history is Valuev-Chagaev II.
Valuev robs Chagaev of his title by pulling out of the rematch with the WBA champ.
Actually he robbed two champs of their titles: Chagaev and Klitschko.
When Valuev pulled out of his fight with WBA champ Chagaev, he then also pulled out of a proposed match up with Klitschko. So Klitschko and Chagaev ended up fighting a unification bout, but neither of them were rewarded with the WBA belt.
    It went to Valuev.

I don't know of any better examples of blatant robberies bordering with stupidity.

    Whitaker-Chavez
    Ottke-Reid
The Coggi fight posted so many times
    Martinez-Cintron

In my opinion, nothing really tops these four.
One because it was just SUCH a clear win. When 99% of people see a clear decision for one guy and he isn't declared the winner, its a robbery. So, Castillo-Mayweather, DLH-Mosley 2, or Collazo's big fights just don't count.
Two, because the referee stripped one fighter of his means to win. The scoring was okay, but the referee refused to let Reid fight. Reid got robbed.
Three because every way you can screw a man in the ring, a man got screwed.
Four, because he legitimatley stopped him, and somehow gets a draw. Thats a robbery.

    Whasup mate.

Seriously now, how come you mention the Dawson/Johnson fight as a robbery? Close fight no doubt and one could make a case that Glen won, but a "robbery" is a clear decision that went the other way. Even if you think Glen won, this was no clear win for Johnson.

Cmon, give us some other real "robberies". I know you can. :yep

    Sven Otkke vs Robin Reid

Watch this on youtube and I guarantee you won't know whether to laugh or cry. In round 5 Reid is given a warning by the ref for punching Otkke. Then in round 6 Reid hits Ottke with a left hook and floors him, but the ref calls it a slip. Even the German audience is flabbergasted.

    hey ho carles my man...

    ok if you insist :D

in my opinion i though johnson won clearly, now the threadstarter may have been a little melodramatic with his rhetoric regarding the thread title so i indulged him accordingly, maybe in retrospect a robbery is a little harsh but i firmly believe johnson should have got the nod in that fight hence my pick of that fight..

now can i stop being pretentious and get back to talking preposterous **** with esb's resident dimwits please?

    :D
