Humberto Soto-Francisco Lorenzo, now that was a robbery. People need to stop posting debateable decisions thats not what this thread is about.

dude that wasn't even close, the match was about tied around the 5th, but after that it was all Chambers. Though I have to admit, that kidney shot shouldn't have been a standing 8 count. That was the most vicious kidney shot i've seen in a long time.

This fight wasn't a robbery, it could've gone either way - depending on how you score fights. I value quality over quantity of punches. Punchstats don't mean ****, because punches landed on the shoulders and arms don't count (at least in my book). I had Toney winning by 1 round, 114-113, because Oquendo rightfully got deducted a point for rabbit punching. A friend of mine who usually is right on the mark with scoring fights scored this one the other way round, 114-113 for Oquendo. Bottom line is, the fight was very close. What did Oquendo do but to run, hold and rabbit punch all evening? Ok, he was more active and landed some jabs, while Toney was unable to chase him around the ring. But at least Toney landed some good clean punches and even wobbled him in the 1st round. Oquendo doesn't come to the ring to win, he comes there to survive - he's not boxing, he performs anti-boxing. And that's why he makes fights shitty, boring, close and sometimes controversial; but that's also why he doesn't deserve the nod in close fights (the Byrd, Toney, Holyfield fights are all examples of that). That said, Toneys performance was very disappointing that night and yes, there should've been a rematch.

I didn't have this one close at all. Chambers outboxed the bigger man all evening, landing clean punches. Some rounds he really schooled Dimitrenko. Even the german public and german TV speaker had Chambers ahead by a large margin, which is unusual as they normally root for their 'hometown' fighter. Dimitrenko won maybe 1-2 rounds. Plus there was that KD. Dimitrenkos own trainer Szdunek was horrified with his boxers performance, telling him that he should man up and start to fight, and that he had to KO Chambers.
